Powering Digital Futures: Andhra Pradesh Government and CTE Collaborate for 'Center of Excellence in IT and Cybersecurity'

The Centre of Excellence in Information Technology and Cyber Security is being established through a partnership between the Consortium for Technical Education (CTE) and the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC). This collaboration aims to improve employability skills, promote research and product development, and offer training programs in a hybrid mode. The training programs will include a wide range of interactive video-based courses, virtual labs, webinars, in-person lectures, and seminars on software and cyber security trends. These initiatives target students, unemployed youth, and professionals in the IT and cyber security fields in Andhra Pradesh.

OBJECTIVE

APSSDC and CTE are collaborating to establish a Centre of Excellence in IT and Cyber Security in different locations throughout Andhra Pradesh. This partnership will provide access to the latest software and cybersecurity products, develop customized courses, supply qualified trainers, and offer joint certifications and industry-recognized certifications to universities, colleges, schools, and government IT departments in the state.

The primary objective of this project is to offer skill development programs and training opportunities that meet the changing demands of the IT and Cybersecurity industry.

K A Alagarsamy, Director of Consortium for Technical Education (CTE), expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to partner with APSSDC in establishing the Centre of Excellence in Information Technology and Cyber Security. This initiative will equip students and unemployed youth with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in the dynamic IT and Cybersecurity landscape. Our collaboration with various state governments will contribute to India's mission of becoming the Global Digital Talent Hub."

AIM

The collaboration between APSSDC and CTE aims to address the skill gap, enhance employability, and foster industry collaboration through on-the-job training, industrial visits, and faculty development programs. These initiatives will provide students and unemployed youth with exposure to real-world scenarios, emerging technology trends, and industry best practices. As a result, they will gain practical skills and knowledge that are highly valued in the job market.

Dr. Ravi Gujjula, Chief General Manager - Technical at APSSDC, has been appointed as the Nodal Officer to work closely with CTE in developing and delivering various skill development programs in Andhra Pradesh.

Dr. Vinod Kumar V, IAS, MD & CEO of APSSDC, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, "Our partnership with CTE represents a crucial step towards empowering the youth of Andhra Pradesh and meeting the demand for skilled IT and Cybersecurity professionals. By aligning our programs with industry needs, we will ensure that our training programs foster innovation and contribute to overall economic growth, ultimately benefiting society as a whole."
